Neil Diamond's Greatest Hits Live by Rob Garrett

ROB GARRETT’S “KING OF DIAMONDS” Las Vegas tribute show continues in the “Alexis Park Modern Showrooms” at Alexis Park Resort Hotel.

The legendary Neil Diamond is one of the most successful and beloved singer/songwriters in contemporary pop-rock music history.

In addition to being one of the top-selling and concert drawing artists ever, he’s also composed the soundtrack of our lives — including some of the most unforgettable songs on the planet.

In early 2018, shortly before his 77th year, Neil Diamond stepped away from live performances after being affected by Parkinson’s.

However, Diamond’s live performance legacy continues to be kept alive for audiences across the globe through longtime Las Vegas performer Rob Garrett, widely regarded as the top Neil Diamond tribute artist.

Ask Google “who is America’s number one Neil Diamond tribute artist,” and you’ll get the same answer.

Like his legendary counterpart, Rob Garrett was born in Brooklyn, NY.

In the spring of 1974, his parents relocated from New York City to the Las Vegas Valley, where, at age 16, he witnessed his first live Neil Diamond show when Diamond made his attendance-breaking Las Vegas debut at the Aladdin Theater for the Performing Arts (now “PH Live”) in July 1976.

Garrett went on to see him 16 more times across the country—right up until Diamond’s last American show at the Los Angeles Forum on August 12, 2017.

In 1980, Garrett started his own band, “Rock n Roll Heaven,” and enjoyed a decade-and-a-half career in Las Vegas and across the nation before deciding to move from lead singer of a cover band to a tribute artist dedicated to one of his boyhood inspirations.

In 1995, Garrett was selected by Paul Revere, leader of “The Raiders” to portray Neil Diamond in the Honolulu production of “Legends in Concert”.

What was meant to be a short engagement turned into a three-year residency.

By August 1998, Garrett returned home to Las Vegas and continued to perform with “Legends” for another two years before deciding to go independent.

He began a steady touring schedule, building a large and loyal following along the way—earning the title “King of Diamonds Neil Diamond Tribute.”

He continues to draw packed houses nationwide, often in venues reserved for national acts.

Garrett has also won numerous awards, including “Male Tribute Artist of the Year.”

“Since Neil Diamond retired, I’ve felt a strong sense more info of responsibility to keep his legacy alive for future generations. It’s something I never get tired of doing,” he said.

On May 19, 2025 officially proclaimed the date “Rob Garrett Day,” commemorating his 50 years living in Las Vegas and 44 years as a professional Vegas performer.

Now in this year, Garrett celebrates 45 years as an active Las Vegas entertainer, with the last 30 years devoted solely to paying tribute to the now-retired Neil Diamond.

It has been said that no other tribute artist is so closely identified with the original performer as Garrett, who has appeared at more Vegas stages than any other.

Since the June closing of “A Beautiful Noise” (the Broadway jukebox musical based on Diamond’s life story), Rob Garrett’s “King of Diamonds” show has become the only continuous Neil Diamond tribute in the U.S..
